For the past week I have been playing Fifa and Modern Warfare 3 constantly, that was until I discovered a gem of a game gathering dust on one of my shelves... Call of Duty : World at War.
Fantastic memories of this amazing game came flooding back as back then I hadn't discovered Fifa Clubs and World at War was what I spent most of my time on... well at least until Mass Effect came out. So I went about inserting the disc into my Xbox and loaded it up, itching to get on and start bullying people with my Sniper Gun. Once it was loaded up I selected the Multi-player option and Team Death-match, I then was searching for a lobby which seemed like an eternity (was about 2 minutes to be precise but I just wanted to get in there and start sniping). When the lobby started filling up I noticed one of the players names flashing different colours, reminded me of my last visit to Blackpool Promenade. Anyway after starting the game everything seemed fine until at the top left of the screen I could see his name and all these hacks getting switched on.
Trying to control my player was impossible because of the immense speed settings and when you jump its like am that Star Wars character... you know the one, the bounty hunter with the jet pack.
So there I was trying and failing to snipe people as I flew across the map at unbelievable speeds, at first I was outraged that one of my favourite games over the past few years had been tampered with so much that it was totally unplayable... but after playing for a further few minutes I started to adjust and it actually became quite enjoyable especially when I started sniping people in mid-air from about 300 yards. Don't get me wrong these hacked lobbies ruin the game for the more serious Call of Duty players out there but just to lighten your moods I did manage to get into a few lobbies that weren't wriggled with hackers. The only concern I do have is why havn't the Staff at Treyarch patched these hacks so I end this blog by saying
"SORT IT OUT TREYARCH".
